I was one of 5 to receive a grant from the Consumer Service Fund, the
"fund of last resort". It is a special fund set up for those who have
no other options. Unfortunately, they did not give enough money to be
able to get what they require. They gave me $11K to get a '93 minivan
with full power and less than 50,000 miles on it. The Blue Book shows
$17.7 on such a vehicle.

Hopefully that will not be the case for me. I think she is just trying
to go through the discover process before committing to anything.
Although she did make one comment that out-of-context could be
bothersome. I'll wait and see what the final outcome is before I get
worried about her attitude/bias. She had doubts that PPS existed
because I had no "twitches" in the effected muscles. That WAS early on
in the examination before she discovered that the muscles were so
severely effected that there was nothing there TO twitch!

Too early in the process for me to determine that about the neuorologist
examining me. I have had the spinal xrays now and the pulmonary exam.
That leaves the sleep test before I go back to her for another visit.

How well I know! That is why I am in such bad shape now. Been needing
dental care for 20+ years now that I have not been able to afford, not
to mention that my 20 year old eyeglasses broke and need to be replaced
also. It is hard to get used to the HMO my wife finally
qualified for this year. It will bear some checking to see how far I
can use it to catch up with years of neglect to my health. Sure hope it
has coverage for some dental and optical! :-) Gotta investigate that.
Regards,
   Warren
