Oh, what would the world be without opinions?...

For me, personally, I have found it best to use the interface that is most
normal or common to the environment in question. For example, if I
reconfigure emacs to work like a Windows editor, then I miss learning common
bindings that are also used on the command-line in unix, like Ctrl-a moves
the cursor to the beginning of the line; and, if I reconfigure TSE to work
like emacs or the unix world, then I am polluting my Windows environment,
which becomes a confusing hybrid environment. Ctrl-S may be a little
awkward for a bit, but then every Windows app that is conforming to the
common UI implements Ctrl-S to save files, and Alt to access the menu, and
f5 to refresh, and f7 for spell checking, and ....

But then, that's just my opinion.

Greg
