My mom lives in Ontario, my family lives in Alberta.
15 years ago she had triple by-pass surgery here in Alberta. Since then she
has had numerous problems. Last year being the worst. She had another heart
attack which has left her unable to do most things.
She is at home, she can't do many things she use to do, due to shortness of
breath. Over-all just to tired all the time. She wants to come to Alberta
for a second opinion, I think that she should just go somewhere a little
closer. I am afraid that just flying here could hurt her health.
I called my Dr. here today to see how long the waiting lists were to see
another Cardiologist, it is a three month or longer waiting list. But my Dr.
would also have to see her first, before sending her to the specialist. I
don't think that she will have any intentions of staying for three months,
since we have a 2 year old and an 8 month old. Just a little to stressful
for her.
Should she come here for a second opinion....her quality of life has
drastically changed and they say they can do nothing more for her.
thanks
Krista
