SA>LI>Don't they teach you foreign languages in school?
SA>Sure. In Canada, they learn French and English, and here in the US
SA>we learn English, and some Spanish.
M >Are they part of the standard curriculum?
That depends on where you live. In New York, most students used to be
required to take three years of a foreign language, but now music, art or
some other courses can be taken instead. The languages offered in this
area are Spanish, French, German and Latin in the bigger schools and French
and Spanish in the smaller ones.
