This is most likely the source of your problem. Try getting "shielded" cables 
and see if that doesn't fix it. Probably getting RF interferance through the 
cables... If you get shielded audio cables that'll probably help there. Also, 
I'd suggest finding a way to move the IRD so that it is right next to the TV. 
This will likely solve your problems.
