When I originally found the dxx-rebirth project I got the data from a torrent
since that was all I could find. I later found Descent and Descent II on
gog.com so I bought it there. They were removed from gog.com a short time later
and I don't know if it has or will return there or not.
I beleive the dxx-rebirth software will work with the Descent shareware and
Decent II demo data as well and IIRC that is available at the dxx-rebirth.com
website.
There is a new game along the lines of descent, a continuation I think by the
original developers (I am not certain of that). Last I looked it was just
starting up. I haven't yet but I have meant to look that up and see what is up
there today. I forget at the moment what it was called but a search will likely
turn it up. It did look interesting to me.
