If you have your TT in a text file (such as one prepared with one of the TT
preparation programs and/or Brother's Keeper), you would log into your
friendly BBS system, go into the appropriate message area (for this echo for
instance). Then you would select the menu option to enter a message. You
would address the message to All. The "Subj:" entry for your message might
be something like "Hirl TT" or something similar. Then once you are in the
"body" portion of the message, you would use the message editor's "Text
Import" option to actually do the import of your TT's text file. The actual
processing steps vary depending on the message editor being used and the BBS
software being used so you would probably want to discuss the details of how
to do this with your friendly sysop. The "Text Import" function should
hopefully allow you to import using a file to be uploaded from your C: drive
into the message.
Using an Off-Line Reader program to enter your message(s) could possibly make
this part easier since you are dealing with your message on your local C:
drive until it has been completed and is ready to be uploaded to the BBS
system, so the import process "should" be easier. But again it would depend
on what Off-Line Reader (OLR) you are using and what the BBS system you are
calling supports. As you can possibly tell, this may also be a good time to
contact your friendly sysop for help since he/she knows how his/her BBS
system operates better than anyone else.
