I've decided that I need to change BIG JIM's name to GENTLEMAN JIM
...... he's sooooooo nice he reminds me of a true Southern Gentleman. He's
o
careful that he watches where he puts his feet ..... I think if one of us
ver
gets stepped on it'll be our fault .
Speaking of GENTLEMAN JIM -- I RODE him last Sunday. He was really
good!!
Of course I had to "plow rein" him ..... AND, Buddy stood a 5 gallon bucket
upside down for me to stand on to mount him ....... AND, when I got through
riding him I KNEW I had been on a HUGE animal .... my thighs ached and I got
charlie horse in my left hip ..... BUT, other than that, it was a
pleasant ride down the street (first and last time I probably do it though --
mostly for the last reason I gave ).
I put my big Circle Y saddle on him (the one I bought to ride Daisy and
"Baby") ...... I found a Large girth that I had once used on "Baby" (at one
time "Baby" topped the scales at a little over 1300 lbs) ...... And I used
JIM's old harness bridle and a pair of reins that I had used on "Baby".
Buddy took some pics so if they turn out I'll send you one. Like I said
before -- it was "interesting"
