If your horse won't canter on the correct lead, the horse is probably
unbalenced and can't take the lead. We do something called bending. Your
horse should be round or going on the bit when you bend. They should
do circles about 10 meters or so and that will help strengthen the
horses muscles. Ask for the lead when you are in a circle, because they
are already "set up" to take that lead. Rarely will they not take the
lead. I recommend lots of circles.
