   THAT'S IT!!!   I was ready to do the Windows thing and rebuild from
scratch to see where it blows up.

   Ok, I'm finally convinced - the PS2 mouse is officially dead.   If they
can kill the mouse and not figure it out for this long, that's the end of it.

I'll have to change out my KVM for a USB version.
