EP> Gus, if you say you're too busy or can't afford it; this is

At the moment it's the absolute truth, unfortunately. In about a year or so
when I get the car paid off things should be a bit better.

EP> purpose as our NRA. If things are ever going to turn around in
EP> Canada, it's going to have to start with the DCRA. Unless of
EP> course, you simply skip all the intermediate steps and go
EP> straight to either submission or open rebellion.

Canadians are a sneaky lot. Instead of an open rebellion we usually just
worm our way around the laws. When the GST was introduced (Goods & Services
Tax) it drove about half the service industry underground; when the price
of cigarettes reached $45 a carton the smuggling reached epidemic
proportions.
The city of Cornwall straddling the US border with a Mohawk Reserve in the
middle became the favourite running ground and Customs couldn't keep up.
If someone was caught with a truck load of illicit smokes the profits on
another load would more than cover the losses of the prior shipment plus
fines. I suspect the same thing is happening with firearms. Probably the
bulk of them find their way into the hands of honest citizens who think
the stupid laws have gone too far so they simply circumvent it. As long as
they can still do this the open rebellion will never materialize.

Tell it to France, and Vive la Basque Libre!

EP> If you want freedom in Canada, supporting the DCRA is a good
EP> first step. Besides, they do blackpowder stuff, too. That's

Oh I'm interested all right. Bug me about it again around this time next year

and I'll probably sign up. Maybe even get me one of them thar' Kentucky
Rifles :-)

EP> call a friend in the DCRA and tell him this prospective new
EP> member (who's politically aware, and tired of all the guff)
EP> expressed an interest. I'm sure they have someone who lives
EP> close to you. Ernie P.

No doubt. You got a number for them, or address? And thanks too btw.
