Good grief, Jean! Glad everything turned out okay in the end.

I have to tell you a story, though (forgive me for going off-topic, Bob). A
friend of mine called me yesterday to report that one of his cats had gone
missing Friday night.

Now you should know that there is an older female cat in the househould, and
the two young'uns are from the humane society, and new to the househould
(they've had them a couple of months, I think). The little ones just hit
that transition a couple of weeks ago where they stopped being KITTENS and
are now CATS (behaviorally speaking).

The older cat is in the habit of going with walks in the neighborhood with
her owner (yes, like a dog -- I've never seen anything like it but they tell
me it's so). Aside from that, she sticks around her own yard, pretty much.
Well, the little ones, seeing the older cat going for a walk with Mom,
decided that this was a cool thing and wanted to get in on the act, so
they've been strolling around the neighborhood a little, Mom and the three
cats.

That's the setup, now back to our story. Friday night my friends went out to
dinner, and when they got out, one of the little ones was missing. They
checked all the vets, pounds, put up posters in the neighborhood, etc.
Sunday they got a call from some girls that live across the main drag and
three blocks down the street. The little stinker had decided to go out on
the town, check out the action, and wandered into their house in the middle
of a party on Friday night.

Since he had found himself a houseful of girls and was getting petted all the
time, he was in no hurry to go home, and the girls thought he was cute, so
they just kept him. But when they saw the poster, they called and my friend
found out where he had been. (And he was still in no great hurry to come
home....)

Maybe there was something in the air last Friday. Who knows?
