JH> W@ayne: Yes, please, to the phone # of the alt.med BBS.
Hi, Jurgen, they are 985-5211 for Hernado's Hideaway, and
266-7754 for BandMaster. I hope one of them is "local" to you.
JH> My book, Chronology of an Illness, deals very subjectively
JH> with my three diseases, diabetes, IgAN, and angina pectoris
JH> (rather the age-related onset of atherosclerosis).
A personalized account of their onset, treatment, and hopefully
recovery? Is angina pectoris also age-related?
A friend was saying his father had angina for 25 years and still
going strong at 90!
JH> Your question, did my book include Parkinson's disease,
JH> triggered a train of thought. Perhaps a future, better
JH> qualified writer-cum-medical researcher, could collect all
JH> those diseases deemed my allopathic practitioners are
 JH> "progressive and irreversible."
That's very eloquent, Jurgen. My understanding of Parkinson's
diease is that it is progressive and irreversible at present.
Hopefully the picture will be reversed with more research?
JH> If the subject interests you, I can suggest you read (most
JH> pulic libraries carry it) Norman Cousins' brilliant book,
JH> Anatomy of an Illness, in which he first defied the death
JH> sentence passed on him for his 500:1 terminal disease.
It was just a passing interest, seeing China's Deng was affected
by it and died at age 92. But I'll take a look at how he defied
death and live to write the book. Thanks!
I wonder how old he was/is?
JH> (BTW I chose Thinkware Publishers in 1985 because I was
JH> then so bedazzled by computer technology. The bedazzlement
JH> has since somewhat given way to grudging acceptance of high-
JH> tech typewriters for writers such as myself.)
Do you write on a regular basis, Jurgen?
Would you like to tell us more?
Regards,
Wayne
