| subject: | Launch Gnome or KDE icons as root? |
From: none One way to run a process as root is to get down to the command line, log in as root, then type in the path and app name to run. Well, what a pain. I do not always know the names of those apps (though I'm learning) and getting to the command line and logging in as root are extra steps. We really need a way to right click on an icon and choose an option Start As Root where we get prompted to give the root password. Any suggestions on how to do that? --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
