subject: Launch Gnome or KDE icons as root?

One way to run a process as root is to get down to the command line, log in as
root, then type in the path and app name to run. Well, what a pain. I do not
always know the names of those apps (though I'm learning) and getting to the
command line and logging in as root are extra steps.

We really need a way to right click on an icon and choose an option Start As
Root where we get prompted to give the root password. Any suggestions on how to
do that?
