Actually, there ARE dates, just not ones set by 3D Realms. Computer Gaming
World is a bit notorious for putting down ship dates for games (not just
3DR's) which are either obviously inaccurate (Unreal will be out before fall
'98, trust me) or just a guess.

The problem is that you NEVER hear about a game being expected tomorrow and
being delayed significantly. I know the way most computer game companies
work; ship dates are originally just general targets, then get filtered down
to a specific month, and if it's really close to ACTUALLY being released
you'll hear about it being ready "in a couple of weeks" or "in a few days."
Once the time frame for an expected release is at that stage, they never
delay by more than a week or so.
