Actually, Gus, I'm not sure about that. If I remember correctly,
the two best Supreme Court Justices we've ever had weren't even
lawyers (Learned Hand (yeah, that's his name)...and...DRAT!...
What *was* his name? Help!) The point is, I'd rely on the native
intelligence of the next guy to walk past the corner; rather
than continue to face the next very experienced, very capable,
and very elitist judge with an agenda and a social conscience.
How hard would it really be for a commoner to simply *read* the
Constitution, and apply it? Ernie P.
