EG> Hi James,
EG> I've found that here in the west at least, Union 76
EG> stations seem to be aware of the needs of the disabled. They are the
EG> only gas stations that I've seen that have the blue and white
EG> wheelchair logo displayed at the pump in stations that have
EG> personnel to serve the disabled. I often look for it and I try to
EG> frequent those stations when I can. My next choice, and its a far
EG> second, is to go to a station that has one the systems that allow you
EG> to pay at the pump. I absolutely won't go to a station that requires
EG> me to go to a window or inside a mini-mart to pre- pay for gas.
EG> That is ridicules, to me, because it requires one to make 2 trips to
EG> the window if you use a credit card (which I do.) Come back to
EG> California and enjoy our gas at self-serve prices. Glad to pass
EG> that good news around considering all the bad press we've had
EG> recently. Every little bit of good news helps. Take care.
EG> Ed Grey
Well Thank you Ed, I just might be coming back out your way next year...
I will agree that while I was out there I had no problem buying gas, and
yes it was 76 where I did my business. In Burbank, Glendale, and North
Hollywood I never had a problem. All this made me realize how hard it is
around here when I got back.... I am now using the newer pumps that
except the credit cards at the pump... Sure helps!
Take Care Ed,
James
... Defeat may test you. It need not stop you.
