subject: DirectX 6 hopes?

  I suppose you might have read about what DirectX 6's DirectMusic is 
supposed to offer in terms of sound.  If not, here's a little info (courtesy 
of Boot magazine, I believe)...
  As I understand it, the "big thing" is that you won't necessarily have to 
pre-mix sounds.  You can segue more seamlessly from one piece of music to 
another.  I think it applies to MIDI, digital tracks (such as .MODs), and 
maybe even Redbook audio.
  Since Prey will likely come out after DirectX 6's release, do you think 
you'll be able to take advantage of any features it might have?  Sound is 
often given scarce attention in games, but now you have an opportunity to do 
something unique.
