I can settle this right away.  99% of Win admins freak at inifiles.  1% put
CRLF EOLs in their edits and lose their hair anyway.

99% of LinAdmins mumble summat' about Win's CLSIDs, and faint dead away. 
0.5% know about "show hidden devices" in devmgmt.msc.  But then
they find out that old NICs sometimes don't show up there, but bump the
count anyway.  Then they find some bridges that installed themselves for no
discernable reason, and smile.  But they're still bald, and Windows will
try to repair itself, overwriting all their work anyway.

This is circular.  Except for the need for Rogaine.
