subject: Dopefish Patch for ROTT

|-----------------| Regarding Dopefish Patch for ROTT
| Since we're sorta on that subject... I poked through the various
| 'info about ROTT' links on the 3DR page last night. Geocities seems
| to have killed one of the sites (it's gone, anyway) and two of the
| others didn't respond. Maybe network problems. I hope.
I checked 'em not too long ago. I thought I had gotten rid of the Max
Carnage one already.
|JS> I'm curious to see how they handle the installs for each, as
|JS> Terminal Velocity requires the install program to create a file in
|JS> the user directory. I know, I've handled *ALL* the installs for our
|JS> company since Major Stryker in Jan 1993.
|
| And a helluva job you do, too! The idea of putting the shareware games
| on the same CD -and having the installer capable of handling them. I
| wish other software was managed so well. Take a bow, Joe. :)
Pardon? If you're referring to this "Platinum Pack", I had nothing to
do with it.
| So... installing TV brings up the Apogee installer, it asks for the drive
| and path to install the game and happily goes about doing just that.
| The game *is* on my HD, but it's playing the video files off the CD.
|-------------------------------------------------------------------------|
You can copy the TVI files to your hard drive, and edit the cdrom.ini
file in the game directory to point there if you so want. I'm curious
to see this CD, though. :)
