From: "John Beamish" I'm not at all knowledgeable about Linux and just pick up newsy "bits" every-now-and-then so I may be quite a bit off the mark on this ... but iirc there was some, uh, "dialog" about the fact that Debian was doing all sorts of work improving the distro and Ubuntu/Canonical would pick that up and make further changes but not recycle those back to Debian in a timely fashion. As I said, I just pick this stuff up occasionally so I may have misinterpreted the situation.
