DOH! Brainfreeze.

Since we're sorta on that subject... I poked through the various
'info about ROTT' links on the 3DR page last night. Geocities seems
to have killed one of the sites (it's gone, anyway) and two of the
others didn't respond. Maybe network problems. I hope.
And the Maximum-Carnage site is kinda gone. You'll have to see it.

And a helluva job you do, too! The idea of putting the shareware games
on the same CD -and having the installer capable of handling them. I
wish other software was managed so well. Take a bow, Joe. :)
Anyway, here's how the Platinum pack is laid out:
ACRODOS -Acrobat versions of the manuals and the reader
BK15FULL -Black Knight F/A-18 files
RECYCLED -yes, this is a CD. :) There's some sort of Win95 registry key
in there. As these are DOS games, I wonder why...
RLEVELS -20 ROTT levels
ROTT -ROTT's install directory, with the goodies sub-directory
ROTT.BAT -batch file to play ROTT off the CD
ROTTCD -contains another copy of Rott.bat and Rottcd.exe
ROTTCD.EXE -Play off the CD?
ROTTINST -all the ROTT files
ROTTPLAY -looks like a clone of the ROTTINST directory
SHAREWAR -the shareware versions
SUPPORT -screenshots of the game title screens. Not much support there.
TV -contains the TV installer, a .wad file and preview of Duke3D
TVINST -the game itself, all 35 megs worth.
TVPLANET -extra TV planets
So... installing TV brings up the Apogee installer, it asks for the drive
and path to install the game and happily goes about doing just that.
The game *is* on my HD, but it's playing the video files off the CD.
Does that help?
Thanks again!
Patrick
