subject: Slackware wireless

On or about 04-22-10 11:47, Scott Brown allegedly uttered "Slackware
wireless"
to All:

SB> I installed slackware 13 on my laptop last week, but I could not figure
SB> out how to get the internal wireless to work. I finally gave up and put
SB> ubunto on and the wirless works fine. I would like to go back to
SB> slackware, but need to find some good docs on the wireless for
SB> slackware. Does anyone have any experiance with slackware that could
SB> shed some light on this? Thanks,

Slackware likely needs you to tweak the kernel. Either the driver isn't turned
on, the driver module is "blacklisted" from loading, or another driver is
trouncing on the driver you need. The last can be cured by blacklisting an
offending module from loading, or turning it off in a new kernel build.

... I'm a PC, and Windows 7 was GNUs idea.
