I've looked into awhile back and basically other than saving money on the
install or initial start-up, they always seem to get you in the end. I don't
care what the namebrand is, but generally any of the DSS setups, the pricing
is the same for the services. The networks aren't available unless you fit
into an area where normally you couldn't get it anyways, if they(DSS) provide
it, it's an extra cost or if within a certain region becomes part of the
package(check with your providing service). The only real way to save money
on start-up is self-installation and 1st time buying a DSS unit on sale or
special package deal. Once the dust settles, like I mention above you'll fall
into pricing that basically the same once "the deal period" is over. I would
strongly suggest you look into insurance coverage on the DSS unit other than
warranty to see what ins. co. can offer for lighting and electrical damage. I
mention that because here(me), I've always a problem with lighting strikes.
