I want to replace a CD drive in one Linux box with a DVD drive. Do I just
power down, unplug the CD drive from the EIDE cable (I assume that's the
cable type), plug in the DVD drive with the same cable connector, and power
up again with a working DVD drive?

Or does one need to do more than that?
