Hi,

I hope someone will be able to advise me on what to do with a strange
problem where the editor hangs when loading a LFN which has an extension.
Using my UI I get the following behaviour:-

e32 "a long filename"      --loads ok
e32 "a short.xyz"          --loads ok
e32 "a long filename.xyz"  --editor hangs
e32 short.xyz              --loads ok

Whenever I edit a LFN with an extension the editor hangs. I have a prompt as
the last line of my whenloaded() hooked function and everything seems ok.
After I skip past the debugging prompt I see a loading message with the
correct filename shown and a blinking cursor, but with no (visual) loaded
file and the e32.exe is left running at 99% CPU utilisation in task manager.


Unfortunately I can't replicate the problem with the original (non
overriden) TSE and despite commenting out everything I can think of in my UI
I still can't find out whats causing it to hang...

My TSE version is v2.80j running on W2K SP3.

Any advise most welcome :-)
