FWIW: i found out about those light bulb bombs because an friend of mine,
many years ago, was a drug user and owed a dealer quite a bit of money...
my friend didn't have it but was always able to come up with enough cash to
get more drugs... until he was maimed by a light bulb bomb that was placed
in his bathroom... it went off when he went in one morning after being up
all night partying... no one was ever charged with anything and no one has
ever fessed up to placing the device... there were upwards of 100 people in
and out all night at the party that was going on... needless to say, he got
off the street drugs and the last i heard, he was hooked on prescription
stuffs no thanks to the docs who just kept giving him more and more :? :(

anyway, after the incident, a few of my friends and i did some research and
figured out how one was made... the police thought it was something
altogether different... it wasn't until the light fixture was found and the
pattern of the base being blown apart with parts of the bulb base still
afixed inside it that they finally got a clue as to what happened...
