Actually, my claim is already being filed through VA. I ought to have a
rating shortly after I get out.
Concerning the blood tests and UA testing, the results have come back,
normal. This means there is no indication of arthritis, yet. I get to see
the doc on Thursday afternoon to see where he wants to go, next. If there is
any kind of problem that would require arthroscopic surgery, I CERTAINLY want
it done before I'm discharged (ETS) in three weeks. That might mean an
involuntary extension, but it's worth it in my book. I understand the VA is
absolutely swamped by the veterans needing medical attention. Just common
sense says there are more vets than active duty. For that reason, I'm going
to insist that they take care of it before I leave the Army.
BTW, I have copies of all medical records. That's further reenforcement, if
the Army tries to deny my case.
Take care!
