MM>Hello All!

MM>For almost six years, I have had recurring problems with knee pain.

MM>input, if it gives me a little more to go on.
I don't have a suggestion for any questions but I do have a bit of
advice which if followed can help save you an awful lot of
frustration in the future. When you are discharged, no matter whether
the pain is more intense or temporarily gone, PUT IN A CLAIM FOR
DISABILITY AND COMPENSATION WITH THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION as soon
as you are discharged. Your knee may or may not qualify at that
time but it will be on record so if it goes sour on you years later
you will be able to ask to have your case reopened. If you don't
request it and it goes sour on you later on, you will have to
prove your pain and suffering ten years down the road has a direct
relationship to your service pain. (ie. service connected.) Under
today's political and economic pressures to trim the budget, that may
well be impossible - unless you had claimed it at the time of
discharge.
Hope this helps,...............larry
