As Bob noted, it would be difficult to counterfeit.

In addition, the dollars that would be necessary to collapse the economy would be
just plain huge. There was a thing on the Discovery Channel last week which
indicated the amount of newly printed currency which leaves the United
States is an
astounding figure. He couldn't keep up in quantity, much less quality.
