I am not a lawyer, but I understand that any local law or ordinance
that is so restrictive as to limit normal TV and satellite
antennas is pre-empted by the federal law.
It is easier to prevent such a law from being passed than
getting an existing law off the books. The local enforcement
people may look the other way if they know that their law
is illegal. Or, someone may have to take them to court
to get rid of the local law.

I certainly would not buy such a house. However, some local
anti-antenna legislation gets enacted AFTER people have moved
to the area. So it is "buyer and resident beware".
