| subject: | Drones and London Heathrow Airport |
London Heathrow Airport has purchased advanced equipment to keep drones out of the sky. Environmental groups threaten mid-September with drones to hinder air traffic. Drones, whether or not intentionally used around airports, can cause dangerous situations, such as collisions with aircraft. To eliminate drones at an early stage, Heathrow invested millions to install advanced systems that can detect and remove drones. The latter is done by disrupting the communication between the drone and the driver. Such equipment is increasingly being used, among other things, to secure important events and during military operations. --- D'Bridge 3.99* Origin: AVIATION ECHO HQ (2:292/854) SEEN-BY: 203/0 221/0 1 6 360 229/426 230/0 240/5832 280/464 5003 292/854 8125 SEEN-BY: 335/364 396/45 423/120 633/0 267 280 281 412 509 640/1321 1384 SEEN-BY: 712/848 770/1 801/188 @PATH: 292/854 280/464 221/1 640/1384 633/280 267 |
