KZ>DR>and wining. If you bought a new Corvette, or Viper or whatever, and
KZ>DR>drove it down to the races, or raced it when your not supposed to, and
KZ>DR>the dealer found out, do you honestly think they would continue to
KZ>DR>warranty it? I think they would put it under severe, absusive driving.
KZ>DR>Admitably the Dealer might try to hide your habits under the covers but
KZ>DR>if the factory found out they would refuse to refund the dealer and they
KZ>DR>wouldn't like that.
KZ>DR>---
KZ>It doesn't matter if you race your car or not, as long as you haven't
KZ>done any modifications to the car they're obligated to repair anything
KZ>that's under warranty. Whether it breaks just driving down the road, or
KZ>at the drag strip, race track, whatever. That's why so many people
KZ>install a nitrous system to a car under warranty, because if it blows
KZ>the engine you just disconnect everything and take it in for warranty
KZ>work. Yes, they'll see when they tear everything apart and see burnt
KZ>pistons/rings that it has to be nitrous abuse. But what can they do?
KZ>They have no hard proof if you disconnected everything and took it out
KZ>of the car.
KZ>Besides, all you have to do is say "I think something broke, can you
KZ>check it out?" You don't have to say, "This weekend I was at the drag
KZ>strip and I dropped the clutch at 4 grand and I dunno what happened,
KZ>but I think I broke something..."

You see, the only way you will ever break your Ferrari is if you do
somthing like that, and they know that it is a good possibility that you
will. That is why they will not warranty it. Stupidity is not covered
under warranty. Besides the fact that people who buy Ferrari's don't
need warranties because they have money to get things fixed( the only
likely things that would break are electrical problems which would
surface in the first year anyway and would be covered under warranty.)
