WD> Lee, please clarify this, although I have an unexpired
WD> tv agent (i think, have not used it in 6 mo),
Nope, the subscription only works for a year starting when the
distribution diskette is made (plus a couple of weeks leeway for
shipping.)
WD> OK, now I have the Internet, and you are saying they
WD> The TVLIST*.* ARE AVAILABLE FOR FTP if,
 WD> I Renew my subscription.
Yes.
WD> BUT with who do I renew, You, Or PC,
PC, (423) 623-8300. Planet Connect BUYS the listings -- they're
detailed, FRESH*, and expensive! So that's where the subscription $ go.
* for instance, TV Guide and Satellite TV Week printed that NBC is
showing "Pretender" at 8 PM ET tomorrow night (Saturday Nov 15) and
"Sleepwalkers" at 9 PM. Check it out -- TV Agent says there'll be a
National Geographic rerun
  Cyclone!
Scientists track a deadly storm and explore the human toil taken by
violent weather systems through footage of some of the fastest winds on
  Earth. Narrator: Peter Coyote
at 8, and "Pretender" will be on at 9 PM.
WD> who already has a LOUSY track
WD> record from when I was buying FIDO, and getting a very
WD> disproportionit feed , for what I was paying, for the 19.2
WD> Ku band Feed compared to the newsgroups.not to mention
WD> their poor delivery of the TVLIST*.* over the 19.2feed.

I remember corresponding with you before but I don't remember the
specific issues. The 19.2 kbps Planet Connect feed has always been my
favorite way to get the TVLISTs. The Fido echomail feed gets smaller
while the USENET feed gets bigger, but I think PC has always sent all
the echomail available.
WD> Will these files that I can FTP be complete, OR will
WD> I have to send my preferences to somebody who will send
WD> only what I have asked for..

When you FTP, you get complete files, with 133 channels. (Hmmm... 132
tomorrow, since Network 1 C1/11 just went off the air and I'm taking
suggestions on what to replace it with.)
We are just starting a new option where the listings are >> EMAIL <<
to you every morning. That's 600K attached to an email message, so you
do have the option with the email route of specifying channels, types,
and titles that you DON'T want sent.
WD> Looking forward to your answer,
Looking forward to your re-subscription!
... TV Agent remembers hilites & deletes on channel type & title for 99 users
