In aviation news there's a potential strike on Dec 21 impacting Air NZ
customers.. that keeps me 'on topic'

In other news. I contacted the FastEcho author asking if it were possible
to make a change to the hard coded zone-gate feature? He kindly replied but
indicated it would be highly unlikely :(

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately I currently have no means to compile
new versions ... I have a backup of the source code somewhere, but I don't
have the old compilers any more and I don't think that this old source code
would happily compile using modern systems ... so it's highly unlikely that I
would be able to bring out new versions, sorry!

So I am planning now to move to another tosser. It won't happen quickly but I
will try to get this done over the upcoming holiday period. I'm juggling
work, family and about 3-4 BBS related projects I'm trying to get across the
line. But we'll get there ;)

Best, Paul
