Yeah, it was hard to sell it, but sometimes you do what you have to.  My
braces are in pretty bad shape and I'm going to have about $1000. worth of
work done on them next week, so need every dollar I can dig up.  Medicare
will pay some, but I'll probably be out $400-$500 myself.  Warren King keeps
telling me to throw them away and use the wheelchair all the time, but I just
can't bring myself to do it.
The clays are neat targets, especially when they break up.  We've also used
water balloons and plastic bottles filled with water.  The kids really get a
kick out of that.  The only firing range around here, other than the Law
Enforcement one, isn't accessible by wheelchair.  I even have trouble getting
to it with my braces & crutches.  I have access to the Law Enforcement range,
but can't take visitors (read grandchildren) there.
Since Oklahoma now has a concealed carry law, our city council is considering
changing the city ordinance about firing weapons in the city limits, to allow
firing ranges in the city limits.  That makes me think someone is wanting to
open one.  Sure hope so.
