MAJORNET RULES/GUIDELINES
          (Things which are NOT ALLOWED on the MajorNet)

       1. Inflammatory or harassing public messages,
          and/or personal attacks/FLAMES.

       2. Newsgroup Abuse
          Volumes of messages to one person in a newsgroup,
          that could be taken to e-mail. Let's face it,
          this drives the cost up unnecessarily for all sysops.

       3. Harassment via private MajorNet messages.

       4. Profanity in areas where profanity is not explicitly allowed.

       5. Messages promoting "get rich quick" pyramid messages.

       6. Any and all illegal activity and promotion of illegal
activities
          as defined by the laws of your specific state and the federal
          government, such as "growing marijuana for sale".

       7. Off-Topic Posting
          TOPIC SENSITIVITY - Please post messages which have some
relation-
               ship to the PURPOSE of the newsgroup!

       8. Excessive Quoting
          A general rule of thumb quote 3-4 lines of the message,
          your referring to.

       9. Advertising
          Advertising is not permitted in this forum.  It would be
better
          placed in the MajorNet advertising forums.

          COMMON SENSE AND GOOD TASTE RULES - Thousands of people will
judge
               YOU by what you POST.  Remember this BEFORE you write a
single
               message.

          COMPLAINTS - Send ANY and ALL complaints about someone to YOUR
               System Operator . Do NOT clutter a newsgroup with,
               complaints about someone.

          RULE INFRACTIONS - If found guilty by the local Sysop,
punishment
               is set by the local Sysop based on severity of the
offense
               and could range from the requirement of a public apology,
               to permanent removal of the user's access to the
MajorNet.
