Ok, this lurker's gonna post for a change...something he should've

What's the purpose of having a gall bladder since I've been told (by my
MD and other friends w/ medical knowledge) that I really don't need it
and that my life without it will be as normal as before I had the gall
bladder problems?  (talking about run-on sentences )
