I do... but to engage in that discussion would be generally off topic here,
so if you wish to reply, I believe NETMAIL would be appropriate; but to
answer your question, and at least be polite , I've read (and enjoyed)
such authors as Herbert, Ludlow, Clancy, Jakes, Tolkien, Doyle, and Fleming.
I also own quite an extensive collection of books by classic American
authors, as well as many world-reknown authors of the Judeo-Christian era
from Homer to Freud.
Obviously that list is way to numerous to attempt to list here, but it
approaches over 100 physical volumes. Suffice it to say if you threw out an
author's name, I probably own at least one book by that author. That's not to
say I've actually -read- them all, though. Collecting books is a 'retirement'
project. :)
I also have this rather unsubstantiated belief that by the mid-21st century,
the idea of bound paper printed books will be a nonexistent entity, and I
view them as an 'investment' as well. Maybe because I'm a computer scientist,
a futurist, and a Trekker.
