You forgot a period between the [ and the *

As written, it says "any two characters, followed by 0 or more left
brackets, followed by a right bracket".

Subject: [TSEPro] Question on regular expresions

Hello to all!

I'm trying to use a regular expression to delete some text.

The line looks like this:

03120300[solimar(%co1%pa0%ji20030211170831-623-000000-00)].130 87
87 SR

What I want to delete is:

00[solimar(%co1%pa0%ji20030211170831-623-000000-00)]

The expression I am trying using search and replace is:

..\[*\]

and replace with nothing and X as the type.=20

Only the ] is highlighted.=20

Any ideas?

    Thanks,=20

         Mike Komorowski
