I did enjoy Star Trek when it first came out and when there were lots 
of shoot-em-up with phasers etc... howsoever...1 
 
What happened? Football and B-Ball players find basket weaving and 
frat-partying 101 a bit too hard to handle? :) 
 
After that strange remark, one can say that ST has become a sort of 
cross-cultural phenomenon. However, all I can say is that it is a sad 
statement when one cannot find a better cultural aspect to study.
