BL> I've had a scanner for some time now and used to have a radio in my
BL> car with the law enforcement channels on it, but let my wife talk me
BL> into selling it. I have several close friends who have their license
BL> and who have offered to help me with some used equipment, so I'll
BL> probably get started on the license soon.
Go for it Bob.... Since you like peckin around on the keyboard, you
will really like the digital modes too..
BL> This almost hurts to talk about. I just sold my favorite gun, a
BL> Springfield Arms .45 cal, model 1911-A1. Looks like I'm going .22
BL> also. My grandson and I love to shoot and have even used clay pigeons
BL> as targets. I like that, because I don't have to worry about picking
BL> them up when we get finished.
BL> Bob...
Oh Bob, that was a nice gun. I always loved the 1911-A1. Wish I had
one now, like you I had one, and sold it!.......:( You gonna miss it!)
(as I do mine). I can already tell! It does hurt tro talk about selling
such a gun.............I have sold a bunch, that I wish I hadn't, down
through the years.
Well me and my grandsons really enjoy the plinking around at cans
paper targets etc.
Never thought about using clays.... Will start using some ... :)
Since I can't get around too good, the kids do all the work (setting up
targets, and checking hits etc)..... clays will just bust! (kids like
that effect, less work, more fun!).....:) Haven't got around to getting
a spotting scope, but sure need one.
We have a few hadicapped shooters around here that shoot from
wheelchairs. Nice to see them with a good hobby, and most are darned
good, some even Deer hunt............
L8r..
James
... The family that shoots together shouldn't be messed with!
