First, since it's probably a Trunk-Tracker clone, it probably only works
with Motorola systems. If you're trying to monitor a Erickson or other
system, it won't work.
Secondly, there are 3 types of Motorola trunked systems in use and
you need to know what that system is in order to properly configure
the radio talk group codes. If your RS manual is as lousy as the
Uniden manual, they really don't tell you how to configure the
type IIi talkgroup codes and are vague on the Is and IIs.
I monitor a Motorola type IIi and was having fits trying to configure
it until Bud Jamison tipped me off on how to do the IIi stuff.
There is a Trunk-Tracker web site with freqs and talkgroup codes for many
areas of the country. I can't remember the URL offhand but if anyone wants
it, I'll look it up.
