 Hi Lawrence:-)
-=> Quoting Lawrence Garvin to Stewy <=-
LG> This is not necessarily true, Stewy. Take a look at the publication
LG> dates listed at the end of this message and then support your above
LG> statement. While I'll grant that it might -look- like he's publishing
LG> less, please note that, in general, his books are longer than they were
LG> in the early days, and he's also written nine screenplays in the past
 LG> ten years as well.
Alas Lawrence, you are right...I guess it just seemed longer..I forgot about
the "GreenMile series"...yes, I imagine the screenplays take up a lot of
 his time...
LG> (Perhaps I'll do an analysis of these publications in terms of pages
LG> and post that analysis. I suspect we'll find that he's actually writing
LG> -more- in the past five years than he did in the twenty prior to that!)
Go for it!! and please let me know you're findings:-)

S> Ya, but that book was a couple years ago..who knows what he is
 S> thinking now:-(
LG> The Afterword to Dark Tower IV, dated October, 1996, indicates that
LG> six or seven is still the target number for total number of volumes.
You know something Lawrence, you blew my mind when I read the list at the
end of this msg...cuz I mean I have been reading SK since I was 15; and I
did not know there were other DT books...I have DT: The Gunslinger, and
the two that follow that(can't remember what order they go in)...I did not
know there were prior publications to these...so are these books part of
the series? Do I need to read them...I just can't believe this!!!

S> It was totally a great series...I wish they would air it again so I
 S> could tape it..
LG> It is available for rent from your local video store in a two-video
 LG> set.

Kewl..I'll have to go check it out...could do with watching it again, and
again
S> Has anyone noticed that the cover to Desparation and the cover to
S> The Regulators(written as Richard Bachman) are similar as well as
 S> the stories themselves?:-)
 LG> Yes, that's intentional.
 Well, I figured that out...remember I haven't read Desparation...just the
beginning of it...with all this talk with you and I; I'm going to finish up
the book I'm reading now and go back and try "Despartion" again...maybe
with you coaching me I might be able to get through it
