| subject: | PRO49 Repairs? |
I have a Radio Shack PRO-49 that has been a very good radio. I've had some minor problems over the years, after replacing the battery pack the radio just won't work (like the batteries are dead). After a bit of fiddling (sometimes a slight mechanical agitation) it starts working again. Well, it's not working now. Last time I changed the batteries (I verified they were good and the battery pack terminals have full voltage) it stopped working and doesn't work at all now. I took it apart and looked for 'obvious' stuff, even re-soldered all the ground leads and jumpers to make sure it wasn't a cold solder joint. Bottom line, it doesn't work and I need someone to fix it. It's modified, so I can send it back to Tandy...does anyone do this at a reasonable price? Thanks in advance, you can reply here or privately to jt@surfari.net ... How do you keep an idiot in suspence? TELL YOU LATER!!! --- JMail-G 2.80 1:212/1002) Howdee all. Anyone know of a good www resource that compiles lists of Freq's in the U.S.? I'm mainly interested in Colorado, however, it would be nice to have a resource when one is traveling.
