-> Does anyone have basic information (frequencies) for these 2 scanners
-> I spotted in a pawn shop?
-> Realistic 20-400
->
-> Cobra ST900 (December 1992)
Gee, Joe, that's awfully old stuff. The RS 20-400 looks to date from about
1992. I don't have the date on the page that I saved. It was the PRO-58, a 10
channel desktop model that covered 30-54, 138-174, and 380-512 MHz. It listed
for $129.95, and the flier I have shows it on sale for $89.95. It's hard to
image that it's worth much, since the current handheld PRO-70, which has
similar coverage and 50 channels, goes for $100 new when it's on sale.
As for the Cobra, I don't have anything on the ST900, but the Scanner World
catalog I received on May 6, 1992 does have the SR-901. This model was
"available only from Scanner World." Often that meant that, other than the
model number, it was identical to a model available from other dealers. In
other words, maybe it's the same as the ST900. Its specs are: ten channel,
desktop, 29-54, 136-174, and 400-512 MHz. It sold for $74.99, plus $6 for
shipping. Again, when you consider how much more new scanners have to offer,
I can't imagine that it would be worth a lot.
That's all I know.
Yours, Blair
