All that proves is that the BORG are not infallible. No one mind can think of
everything, and the BORG are essentially one mind. Also, the BORG will be the
first to admit that the vast majority of their tech is assimilated from
'conquered' species.
Nonetheless, to our knowledge no BORG has ever tried to assimilate a Founder,
so we can only infer whether or not such an attempt would be successful.
ALso keep in mind that Species 847 was from another dimension -- the first
and only species the BORG have attempted to assimilate from outside of our
Universe, to our knowledge -- and therefore may not be directly eqivalent to
any other experience their assimilation technology may involve in our
space-time.
It is, to quote a BORGism, "Irrelevant." ;)
