That only works on the "normal green" colored parakeets. It goes "blue
for boys, pink or tan for girls". But if the bird is not green with
a yellow head, the "cere" (nostril skin area) is not always the right
color.
And this only works for ADULT green parakeets--if the bird is still very
young, this method may not be accurate.
