Alex: As I recall, Ohio has a law against mobile use of radios that can
receive police freqs, and EVERYTHING is illegal in Michigan! Read:
Discression is of the highest importance. Previous posts mention getting
stopped, probable cause and the like. So, you strive to do nothing that would
draw attention to you or your vehicle; no speeding, tailgating or anything
else that would be considered poor highway manners. Make sure all your
equipment is in good working order, lights, tires, etc. This boils down to
just plain ol' common sense, but lack of same is what causes a lot of folks
to get pulled over, especially if they are displaying out-of-state plates.
Have a good trip and if you happen to hear anything interesting, how 'bout a
frequency or two?
